Liked well prepared breakfasts, and spotless hotel.
The hotel was quaint with affable staff and a convenient location on the East coast. The food was good and there were a wide array of dishes in the menu. Location: the property was near the historic Federal House Inn, restaurants and local attractions, and the Berkshires for the first time. Plus it was 10 mins drive from Housatonic River Reservoir.

Airy room, that also was neat where the fireplace could be shut off from the bed.

Comfortable and tidy room with the added bonus of being able to close off the fireplace from the bed. The service here was top-notch and they even greeted us with some delicious chocolate 🍫.

My recent stay at Federal House Inn was absolutely delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty and elegance of the property. The innkeepers were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations for things to see and do in the area. The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean and exceptionally comfortable, complete with cozy robes for relaxation. The highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast in the morning. The three-course meal was simply amazing, with fresh and delicious dishes made from local ingredients. I especially loved the fresh strawberry smoothie and the honeyberry scones. The inn also offered a lovely pre-dinner spread of crusty bread, olives, cheese, and wine, which was a delightful way to unwind in the evenings. The inn's atmosphere felt like a home away from home, offering just the right amount of privacy. I had a fantastic experience at Federal House Inn and can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

We got amazing value for our money at this charming inn that has been beautifully restored. The room was immaculate and the staff treated us like family, offering cookies, tea, and more every night. The location was perfect for exploring the Berkshires and nearby towns.
More breakfast choices would have made the morning meal even better.

The rooms at this inn were beautifully decorated and had luxurious amenities. The towels and sheets were exceptional, and the shower was one of the best I've ever had. The innkeepers and their staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest was comfortable and had everything they needed. The location of the inn was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby cultural, dining, shopping, and outdoor experiences.
One negative aspect was that the living room area could get crowded and noisy at times, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the space. Additionally, it would have been nice to have more variety in the breakfast options, as the three-course meals could be quite filling and some guests may prefer simpler options.

We had an amazing stay at this charming inn! The owners, Marcia and Ken, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even went out of their way to get dairy-free food for my son, which was so kind. The constant supply of coffee and cookies was a nice touch. The wine and cheese at 5pm was a great opportunity to chat with other guests and the owners. The breakfast was absolutely wow! Three courses with a choice of three different entrees - it was delicious. Even our 1-year-old was well taken care of and entertained. I highly recommend this inn for its fabulous hospitality!
Felt very secure, no complaints.
